my march 12m.o.f
My March set up was basic and not very inspiring.
I wanted to use the Kodak Tourist that I received in the the secret santa exchange hosted by Emulsive.(it’s super fun and I highly encourage you to sign up!) But due to user error (ehem, ME) I messed up the roll during loading and it unraveled and would not fit on the spool properly and it was a whole mess that left me upset.(tears) BUT! I was able to purchase another Tourist with the exact spool so now hopefully(!) I will be able to re-roll a 120 roll of film in a dark bag onto this specific Kodak spool and all will be well. Here’s to hoping anyways.
For March I ended up using the Konica C35 MF. I bought this camera last year at local swap meet and it has been sitting on my shelf ever since. This camera from 1982. It’s fully automatic, has auto-focus, automatic film loading, automatic winding, and automatic rewind. Very basic and easy to use! The flash can be turned on and off as per your choice. There is a self time and a focus locks switch on the front. On the back there is a film indicator that turns when the film advances or rewinds. You choose up to 400 ASA by turning the dial around the lens. The lens is a 38mm F2.8 Hexanon lens that has a 46mm thread so you can add filters if you so choose. The camera uses 2 double AA batteries.
This roll did not come out the way I had intended, but hey that’s the gamble with expired film, right? I bought a lot of expired film years ago and kept it in my fridge, but unfortunately these rolls are either way more expired than I thought or lived on a shelf in poor conditions.
A little bit bummed these did not render better, but Spring is coming in the PNW and for that I am grateful!
